KRYSALIS, a fairy's journey - PT.02

Once again, here I am finally with the second part of my personal project (sept 2024 - early jan 2024) done at Artside called Krysalis !

Naeri Konstel is a young fairy with no memory of her childhood; only of great pain and sadness. Traversing dangerous environments teeming with a fairy's natural-born predator and strange statues, she never would've imagined the dangers that lurk around those forgotten memories. With the goal of becoming the strongest fairy, Naeri also hopes to shed light on her past.

You play as Naeri, learning and growing your magic through class and exploration into the outside world all-the-while retrieving bits and pieces of your memories.

Each game chapter encapsulates one of the 4 (1/2) island-countries present in the world of Krysalis.

The Continent is divided into 5 "island-countries", and each of these island-countries are separated by the "mainland / inland" (the largest island, dangerous) and the "outlands" (the smaller islands around the mainland, where fairies live, safe)

Each island-country was first designed by creating a mockup to have the overall mood / climate wanted for this zone, then the typical flora for each zone and it's corresponding uniform

This part of the game was thought of as one big city : Alexandria. Here lives the main population of fairies, safe and away from their natural-born predators.
Magic is scarcely used, afraid to attract the creatures to the city.
